Boutique Chocolate Pop-Up from NoMI at the Park Hyatt

Treat Mom to something extra indulgent at NoMI | Boutique Chocolate, a short-run Pop-Up at the Park Hyatt Chicago Library. Award-winning pastry chef Megan Galus and her team are creating an array of chocolate indulgences made from rare and unique chocolate varieties that they’ve sourced specifically for the Pop-Up. Offerings include (but aren’t limited to) bonbons, caramels, macaroons, eclairs, special chocolate gifts and more. The NoMI | Boutique Chocolate Pop-Up will be open April 26 – May 11th from 1pm to 8pm.

Specialty Tins from Garrett’s Popcorn

Make your Mom proud with a gift from Chicago’s very own Garrett’s Popcorn. This year’s limited-time offerings include the Chocolate Lover’s Gift Set (a gold rectangle tin complete three chocolatey treats — silky smooth milk chocolate covered CaramelCrisp, dark chocolate covered CaramelCrisp and pecan CaramelCrisp) and the Mother’s Day Bundle of Joy (a one gallon blossom tin of Chicago Mix paired with a one quart pink signature tin of milk or dark chocolate covered CaramelCrisp). Visit Garrett’s to order your gift online.

Mother’s Day Cream Puff Collection from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams

Put a DIY spin on your Mother’s Day celebration with this gift from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, which gives you everything you need to make indulgent ice cream cream puffs at home. The set — which can be ordered online and delivered on May 9th — includes two ice creams (Salty Vanilla Frozen Custard and The Milkiest Chocolate in the World), one sauce (Extra Bitter Hot Fudge), and one brand new cream puff recipe directly from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream Desserts. Available online only.

A food tour from yours truly

Spend some QT (aka: quality time) with Mom and enjoy a Chicago Food Planet tour together. There’s still availability for our Chinatown and Gold Coast/Old Town tours on May 11th, where you and your Mom can enjoy plenty of food, culture and fun. What Mom wouldn’t love that? Check the schedule for availability and tickets.
