Founded By: Albert Gschwendner began selling loose leaf specialty teas in 1978. Since then, his family-run TeaGschwendner has expanded to locations around the world.

  • All tea comes from the same plant! It’s officially called the Camellia Sinensis plant and from it, we get the 4 types of tea: White, Green, Oolong and Black.
  • About 4 million tons of tea are produced each year in the world.
  • A standard cup of coffee will have between 100 to 200 mg of caffeine, whereas tea will have around 40mg.
