When arriving at Navy Pier lookout for your tour guide who will greet you at Chicago Food Planet’s retail kiosk, just inside the main entrance of the Fifth Third Bank Family Pavilion (located directly between Giordano’s and Bubba Gump Shrimp).
The recipe for Giordano’s now-famous stuffed pizza is one that started over 200 years ago in a small
northern Italian town near Torino, Italy. This pizza pie is now a tradition.

location and a neighborhood fixture.
Savor the popcorn recipes that were born out of a family competition and carried over from
the Garrett’s Milwaukee home to their first Chicago shop in 1949.
We do offer Neighborhood Food Experiences all year-round. However, due to Chicago’s feisty winters, we offer short experiences during the winter and longer experiences in the summer. Our winter experiences are both shorter in distance covered (less than .4 miles) and also in duration (2 hours in length). The World’s Fare is our only experience that runs year-round. The Classic, 3-1-Chew, Chinatown Adventure all run March-November while Winter Delights runs November to March. Click on our Tour Calendar to see the updated list of events.
We CAN provide substitutions for vegetarians, gluten aversions and those who do not drink alcohol, but we CANNOT make substitutions for any other food allergies (such as lactose intolerant or dairy-free) or dietary preferences (such as vegan).
Substitutions for vegetarians, gluten aversions and those who do not drink alcohol must be requested in advance with your ticket purchase. All food and beverage tastings have been prepared in advance at each location, based on the information you provide to us at the time of ticket purchase. Last minute dietary changes the day of the tour will not be accommodated for any dietary restrictions. This is a carefully produced foodie adventure!
We work with only the best food partners. Therefore, keeping streamlined policies ensures that guests have a consistently high quality experience. Some partners see us mulitple times a day, so we want to minimize mistakes and ensure a positive experience for our partners and our guests.
We are sorry if this is an inconvenience. Our Food Tours and events have been designed to highlight the best and most distinctive foods from each establishment. There isn’t always a “next best” option that meets the special dietary needs of each of our guests. Since we care about your health, palate and overall experience, we truly appreciate your understanding of this policy.

Such a delightful way to spend a Saturday morning. The tour was organized and warm and friendly. Our tour guides were knowledgeable and available for all questions. Pleasantly surprised that the food stops served large/full sized portions. The walking pace was comfortable.
